We spent the weekend in a little mountain cabin with a hot tub under the stars. It's in one of our favorite parts of Colorado - just outside of the town of Fairplay. It's less than two hours from Denver, but it feels very remote, and the mountains and sweeping valleys are incredible.
On Saturday, we took two hikes - one for Isaac in the morning, then he rode on Adam's back in the late afternoon so we could go a little farther.
Here are pictures of Isaac's hike:
His boots are a size too big, and they kept falling off. It was pretty cold, but luckily the sun was warm.
And here are pictures of our sunset hike on Hoosier Pass (about 12,000 feet):
This time, Isaac's gloves kept falling off, and it was pretty cold...So the hike was shorter than we would have liked, but it was still worth the effort. Isaac complained a little at first - he's still not used to this kind of cold, as we've had a very warm fall in Denver - but then I think he loved it too.
Awesome pictures!!
