One thing I love about Colorado is that, in any given month, even the cold ones, there can be a warm day or stretch of days. This Saturday in mid-November was a blustery but warm, blue-sky day, so we decided to take a kite and some frisbees to a park and enjoy the sunshine.
Isaac loved flying the kite by himself this time.
The wind blew constantly, but every few minutes it would send all the leaves shooting by us in a great rush of air. It was almost too windy for kites, but it didn't really matter.
When the gusts came, we had to turn our backs to the wind and wait it out.
After a while, we switched to frisbee, and we discovered that Isaac can throw it pretty straight now, with good aim too! I don't know when he learned to do this, and he only caught it once or twice, but I was impressed.
We tried to play on the playground too, but the wind was getting too uncomfortable.
So we stayed about ten more minutes and then headed to a British fish and chips restaurant across the lake. The boys devoured the fish, and we all enjoyed being out of the wind.
