Maybe Isaac has drawn people before, but I have never recognized them as such. On this day, Isaac told me he'd drawn two people and a house, and he wanted me to come look. I took my time, expecting to see the usual squiggly lines, but when I turned around, there on his whiteboard was this drawing - clearly two people with faces and even hair and feet! And his signature, once up top where he ran out of space and once, more nicely, at the bottom.
It seemed like this development had happened overnight, as we'd never seen anything recognizable in his drawings until this point. From scribble to cute little stick people in just a day - amazing!
