April 27-30: Deedah and Babop

Isaac and I looked forward to my parents arrival like it was Christmas morning. They were here for a long weekend, and we got dinner at Ernie's the first night - pizza and microbrews for dinner, then a few rounds of skeeball. Adam took the boys to play while my parents and I finished eating, and they were an adorable sight when we caught up with them.

The weather was nice, and we spent lots of time in the backyard. Jonah and Babop have always had a special bond. Anytime my dad leaves Jonah's sight, he starts looking around and saying "Babop. Babop." until we explain where he went and when he'll be back.

Jonah is perfectly content to be in my dad's arms, even when he hasn't seen him in a few months.

We tried to go to the zoo one day, but the whole, enormous parking lot was full, and there were school buses everywhere...With nowhere to park, we went to the playground instead. Isaac got to swing all he wanted, with Deedah pushing him (normally my job, and I tire quickly), and Jonah went down the slide for about an hour, with my dad at the bottom to catch him.

I'd bought a bunch of shrubs that needed to go in the ground, so my parents took the boys to the Children's Museum, and then played with them in the backyard, while I planted blueberries and blackberries.

On Saturday, we all went to the aquarium.

Jonah is obsessed with tunnels these days, so he was thrilled to find a child-sized tunnel at the aquarium.

Outside, there was a free bouncy castle. It was Jonah's first time, but Isaac showed him what to do and he loved it.
